BMS Institute of Technology and Management was established in the year 2002 and is governed by BMS Educational Trust founded by Sri B M Sreenivasaiah and his illustrious son, Sri B S Narayan. It is a private, un-aided, non-minority, autonomous college which is situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. It has been recognised by UGC and has also been approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The institute has also been accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) with an “A”  grade along with NBA. To generate capable engineers who can handle such obstacles, BMSIT has flawlessly integrated its high-performing academic, personality development, and administrative subsystems

The BMSIT Bangalore courses are offered to interested candidates at the undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. There are a total of 5 courses offered to the candidates in the stream of engineering, computer applications and management. These courses are offered in the offline regular mode to the candidates. The BMS Institute of Technology and Management admission to all the courses is offered on the basis of the candidate's performance in the respective entrance exam as well as the last qualifying exam. KCET (for BE courses), GATE/Karnataka PGCET (for ME/M.Tech courses) and KMAT/Karnataka PGCET (for MBA & MCA courses) are some of the entrance exams that are accepted by the institute for admission.

Students can take advantage of a gymnasium, boys' and girls' hostels, laboratories, a sports complex, transportation services, banking facilities, a full-fledged library, a canteen, and other amenities at the BMSIT Bangalore campus, which is spread out over an area of more than 13.6 acres. For tasks related to placement, the college also has a distinct placement cell. To give students the chance to start their professions before even completing their education, the BMSIT Bangalore placement cell and the participating recruiters hold placement drives every year. A wide range of activities are held by the college, including webinars, seminars, pre-placement interviews, training sessions, and others. Over the years, BMSIT Bangalore has reported a good development in the placement data for successful applicants.

Branch Matters: Placement success tends to vary across branches. If you're looking at branches outside the top few, be extra diligent in your research. Not a Top-Tier Institute: BMSIT isn't in the same league as the IITs, NITs, or the absolute top engineering colleges. Adjust your expectations accordingly.Autonomous Issues: Some students complain about the rigidity and complexities under an autonomous system – this is worth exploring further.

Faculty is average, in the end you have to learn on your own. Do not fall for good reviews online regarding placement opportunities, it is very bad in this college. Overall it’s just an average college
